Setting Up Voicemail

  • Press (voicemail button) then click connect.
  • Enter 6915801# when prompted for your voicemail password.  They system will then ask you to change and verify your password.
  • Must be at least 6 digits long
  • Can’t contain your extensions or portion of your local phone number (forwards or backwards)
  • Can’t contain more than 3 sequential numbers (123 is okay, 1234 is not)

Enter the new password and press #

  • The system will ask you to record your name.  When it beeps, record your name and press # when done.
  • After you record your name, the system will allow you to check your messages by pressing 1 to access your voicemail box.

Setting Up a Custom Voicemail Greeting

After Voicemail has been set up:

  • Press (messages button) then click connect.
  • Enter your voicemail password followed by #
  • Press 1 to access your Voicemail box.
  • Press 3 to “Change your mailbox No Answer Greeting”
  • Press 1 to “Record a new No Answer Greeting”
  • Record your message and press # at the end.
  • End the call.

The same process is done to record a new greeting over the top of the old one.

Checking your Voicemail

  • Press (messages button)
  • Enter your voicemail password followed by #
  • Press 1 to access your Voicemail box
  • Press 1 to listen to your messages.

Check with your IT department about having your voicemail forwarded to your email.

Forwarding

  • Press the key on the right side of the phone.
  • Select the Forward option.
  • Choose the type of forward you want.
  • Always (Forwards the call without ringing to your desk phone)
  • No Answer (Forwards the call after a set amount of rings on the desk phone)
  • Busy (Forwards the call if your phone is busy)
  • Enter the phone number you would like to forward to and select “Enable”
  • Do the same process in reverse to “Disable the forware”

Directory

  • Press the key on the right side of the phone.
  • Select Directory
  • Select Contact Directory
  • You can scroll through the available contacts or press Search to narrow the results.

Transferring

Your business uses a Consultative Transfer.  When you press transfer, the caller will automatically be put on hold and you will be connected to the recipient.  The caller will remain on hold until you either press Transfer again to complete the transfer or Cancel to bring the call back to you.  The process is:

  • Press the    button on the left side of the phone.
  • Dial the extension of the intended recipient.
  • Introduce the call to the recipient, and after determining if you would like to complete the transfer, either press the    button again to complete the transfer, or press Cancel to bring the call back to you.
